Marilyn Irene Swalley Moniz passed away after a long illness on May 1, 2015 in Woodland Hills, CA. She was 61. She leaves two daughters Kristi Magpantay (Dave) and Loni Moniz; two granddaughters Jordan and Kylie Magpantay; her former husband Ken Moniz; her siblings Jack Swalley, Nancy Nelson and Linda Bach (Frank); her nephews Tyler Bange (Nicole) and Michael Swalley; her nieces Amy Bach and Susan Mitchelutti (Eric); and one grand-niece Becca Skala and two grand-nephews Nathan Bange and Logan Mitchelutti.
Marilyn was born on June 30, 1953 in Dallas, Texas and also lived in California, Kansas, New York, Illinois and the Virgin Islands before settling again in California in 1978. She worked in the radio and insurance industries before retiring in 2007. She graduated from Lyons Township High School in La Grange, Illinois in 1971 and The College of DuPage where she studied Fashion Design and received an AA degree in 1973.
The family would like to thank the caregivers at Park Ventura Assisted Living in Woodland Hills where Marilyn made her final home, and Care One Hospice for all their kindness and assistance in her final days.
