Obituary of Donald Owen Chappina

Don Owen Chappina A.K.A D.O.C., 66, of Thousand Oaks, California passed away on September 28, 2019 in his loving home in Thousand Oaks, CA.

Funeral visitation are at 1pm and services at 2pm will be held at Rose Family Funeral Home on October 7, 2019 with Rev. Jonathan Mulford.

Don was born on June 10, 1953 in Los Angeles County Hospital to Patricia Loving Barber and later adopted by Ettore Chappina. He went to Polytechnic High School, East Valley Occupational school for nursing and Newberry School Of Beauty for hair dressing. Don has been retired from nursing and home health care for 7 years. He enjoyed camping, working on cars, wood working, volunteering at New Beginnings and antagonizing his daughter because her kids would let him reap the rewards.

Don is survived by his wife, Carol Chappina, mother in law Lorle Baizer, his two children Kelly and Kasey Chappina, grand children Conner Fey, Zyann and Zarius Gault. His Nephews Christopher and Brian Lewis and niece Stacey Herron.

He is proceeded in death by his Grandparents Eddie and Thelma ‘Ma’ Barber, his parents Ettore and Patricia Chappina , his sister Sandra Lewis and nephew Eric Lewis.
