I will always remember the first time I met Him from the moment I told him who I was ( Roy's Sister) he called me family and from then on everytime I saw him I was treated as such. When I think of him now it will always be with a smile.

I will miss you Uncle Don. You introduced me to the terror timers, the uselessness of hiding under beds, and dry roasted peanuts (Thanks for last one ^^). Your Halloweens are still legendary here; the makeup, hair, and haunted garage will always be one of my fondest memories. You are grieved by the maternal side of the family as well; they remember you fondly and we shared some stories this weekend. I will continue to watch out for Kasey & Kelly and have no idea how you did it when they were teenagers! Love you - Stacey

Big D-
This is Little DDS. So many memories of working together, laughing together and just sharing life's moments with each other. You played a big part in my life these last 41 years. I hope now you get to sing a duet with Elvis.
"Come in, Tokyo."
Aloha!

There's nothing I can say, except that you were an amazing father and I can only hope to be as amazing to my children as you were for me. I'm glad with all the trial and tribulations we had, we still had an equal amount of loving and amazing memories.
Thank you,
Love you always
Your Baby Girl

We will always remember Don's big, beautiful smile when we walked into the coffee shop at church. He had a handshake that
would have made John Wayne wince! My mom would slip her rings off before she'd shake his hand, because her rings would
pinch her fingers when he gripped her hand. But my most treasured memory of Don will always be of him taking care of Harriet
before the paramedics arrived when she fell in the coffee shop and bounced her head off of the concrete floor. As a nurse, he
knew exactly what to due as he rendered aid. I'm convinced that he saver her life that day. Rest in peace, our dear friend. One
day we will ALL be together, in heaven, for all eternity.

To my Hunnybunny, you were my best friend and I don’t know how I will live without you. We loved so many things. You showed me how much fun camping can be. I showed you how much UCLA football can be and our love for animals. Our babies Tommy Toots and Doobie miss their daddy.
Listening to Pink will always put a smile on my face. But I am so glad we were able to visit Lahr in. You made friends forever. And of course Karin being your second wife.
We still had many things we wanted to do together. So my Dearz you are in my heart forever. After 28 years we did a lot after writing this memory page. Will miss your jokes.
I Love You my Hunnybuny

Don loved going to the family farm at Rocky Fork. The expression on his face was priceless when he attempted carrying both arms full of groceries across the swinging footbridge and a board broke. Later that day he practiced until he could run across with no hands. You dad was blessed with patience.
Prayers for God's comfort and grace to Carol and our kids.

Out prayers are with all of the Chappina family. Don was very kind-hearted and helpful to us, his neighbors, feeding our cats at times we were on vacation. We so appreciated having him as a neighbor and will remain supportive of Carol as best as we can. Peace be with Don and all of you.

My favorite moment with my dad was when he caught me being outside for too long and he couldn’t find me and when I rode up on my bike he had a padlock waiting for me and I thought he was going to hit me with the padlock but instead he decided to lock up my bike and told me that I wasn’t allowed to ride my bike until I learned to tell him where I was.
