Although 3 years late, I was very sorry to hear of the passing of Bob.
I met Bob in the mid 1960's through a mutual friend, Howie Hellyer, who lived across the street from him on Sausalito in Canoga Park.
From that time until graduation from high school were the years I was in contact with Bob. All of us had Schwinn Sting Ray bicycles in those early days and we were quite adept at a variety of tricks.
Activities in those days included:
1. Building a fort in a deserted lot.
2. Playing basketball in Howie's driveway.
3. Swimming wherever we could find a pool.
4. Fishing out in Westlake Village when it was being developed in 1968.
5. Playing football at Shadow Ranch Park around the corner from my house.
6. Camping.
7. Surfing throughout high school at Malibu and Ventura County Line.
8. Football games in high school.
These are some of the fond memories I have of those days, so long ago.
My hope is that you have lovely memories to carry with you along life's way.
God Bless,
Rick Pendleton
