Obituary of Raymond Daniel Webster
Please share a memory of Raymond to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Raymond Daniel Webster, Warrior,
15, of Thousand Oaks California
Born on March 2, 2001 in Woodland Hills Ca, and passed on February 16 2017 with his family at his side. He fought cancer like a true Warrior through to the end. He is survived by his parents, Iris Elizabeth and Dean Michael Sr, his loving girlfriend and best friend Ophelia Sessions, sister Natasha Haas-Williams (Bryan, son Vincent), sister Jennifer Webster, sister Stephanie Webster, sister Amber Guzman (Floyd, children Katherine, Autumn, Elisa), sister Tillie Smith (John, son James), sister Britnie Blake (Steve) and brother Dean Michael Webster Jr.
Raymond had an extremely big heart and was loved by all who knew him. He had a kind face and a calming voice. He was extremely intelligent and excelled with everything he did. His quick whitt, humor and playful teasing brought smiles to everyone's face. He enjoyed spending every moment with his soulmate Ophelia. He and brother Dean Jr were extremely close, not only in age but in spirit. They were always doing everything they could together- from hanging out and gaming to playing basketball and watching sports. Raymond loved sports.
Raymond is a member of the Bad River Tribe of Ojibwe Native Americans of Wisconsin and was very proud of his Native heritage. He participated as a Grass Dancer in local powwows and was active in the community.
He was a student at Thousand Oaks High School in the 10th grade with plans of going to College. His course studies included College-Prep Chemistry, College-Prep English, College-Prep French, Art Media, College-Prep World History and College-Prep Algebra. He participated in Native American Studies.
A Facebook memorial page is established for family and friends to share and celebrate his life: https://www.facebook.com/groups/196794127469072
There will be a Viewing and Funeral service that will be held on Sunday, February 19, 2017 starting at 5:00 PM at Rose Family Funeral Home. It is located at 4444 Cochran Street in Simi Valley, California. He will be sent off to the Spirit World through traditional Native American Ceremony and Drum/Flute.
The family is asking that in lieu of flowers, contributions for services can be made to Iris Mankin. Anything exceeding the expenditures will be donated to the Make A Wish Foundation in Raymond's name.
