Obituary of Roger Weiss

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Roger C. Weiss, on January 2, 2012 at Keck Medical Center of USC.
Roger was born to Carl and Frances Weiss in Cleveland, Ohio. During his youth Roger lived in Hazard, Kentucky and after the death of his father he moved with his mother and siblings to St. Louis, Missouri. Roger then moved with his family to Garden Grove, California where he graduated from Bolsa Grande High School in1964.
Roger was a dedicated husband, father and brother. Roger is survived by his wife, Candy and children Ray, Jennifer, Sarah, Lauren and granddaughter, Breanna. He is also survived by his sisters Linda (husband Don), Brenda (husband Lance), and many nieces and nephews. His twin brother Raymond who was killed in the Viet Nam War preceded Roger in death.
Roger had an extremely strong work ethic. He was a dedicated employee of Bonafide Management Systems of Thousand Oaks where he worked for 19 years. He was also actively involved with AYSO as a member of the board and enjoyed coaching as well.
For all those who knew Roger he will be remembered for his kindness, sense of humor, and generous spirit.
We would like to thank all of Roger's doctors to include Mark L. Barr, M.D, Michael E. Bowdish, M.D. and, Felicia Schenkel, R.N of the Cardiovascular Thoracic Institute of Keck School of Medicine and the team of dedicated nurses who took such loving care of Roger.
Please join us in the celebration of his life memorial service to be held at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church (1305 Royal Ave. Simi Valley CA 93065) on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 1:00 pm. A reception is to follow immediately after the service.
