Manuel Matthew Rausch (1925-2011) Our beloved Manny passed away peacefully on Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011 in Simi Valley, California. Manny was a resident of Susana Knolls for over 50 years. He leaves behind a loving family, his loving wife and love of his life for more than 61 years, Dolores; their children Beverly (Axel), Bill (Diane), and Mary along with five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathleen. Born September 19, 1925 in Andale, Kansas. He was one of twelve children. He was a proud Veteran of the US Navy and Air Force serving in World War II and the Korean War. He was an active member of St. Peter Claver Church, Simi Valley where he freely volunteered his time to help others. He served as a Eucharistic minister, a charter member of the Knights of Columbus, assisted with providing support for ill parishioners, and was a founding member of the Bingo Group. Manny was a deeply spiritual man who lived his faith daily through his caring actions. He always had a smile, a good story, and an infectious laugh. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him and memories of him will always live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and the many people who have been touched by his loving actions. A vigil will be held at the Rose Family Funeral Home, 4444 Cochran Street, in Simi Valley, on Thursday, Oct 27th at 7:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, Oct 28th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter Claver Church 5649 Pittman St., Simi Valley. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in the memory of Manuel Rausch to St. Peter Claver Church, Simi Valley.
