Glenna was born in Los Angeles, California, to Hazel and Marion Christensen on April 22, 1927. She attended Hollywood High School in North Hollywood, California, and graduated in 1945. She enjoyed singing, dancing, and playing the piano. She also enjoyed performing with her sisters, but was a good actress on her own, as she participated in church plays. She was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served as the president of the children’s organization, The Primary, during the growth years of her children; and served as the president in the women’s organization, The Relief Society, for many years. Glenna was devoted to her husband, as they worked together to raise their children. Never an unkind word or judgement of another person was spoken. Glenna was beloved by everyone who knew her and was able to influence her family, friends and acquaintances with her positive, loving, classic beauty and grace.
