Dear Susan, sorry this is so late. My dear friend, like a mom, passed on to heaven about the middle of May this year. I had just finished moving out of Patti's house for two weeks, so did not visit her then. When I went to the home she was in, they had switched her room to down the hall. For four days I held her hand. She opened her eyes the first day when I came in. I did not know she was in the active state of dying. I looked at her eyes, but she could not focus on me. She did squeeze my hand though. For four days I read scripture to her holding her hand and rubbing her head. Through ear buds attached to my cell phone, I played beautiful hymns for her. Her son came when her oxygen level dropped, so at one o'clock on Monday morning, I left. She went to heaven at 5:30 am.
We know where they are Susan, and what a blessing. I can not wait to be with Jesus. Loosing one's mom still is the worst. I pray the Holy Spirit is there for you like the comforter. God bless you!
