Hello my dearest Ben, I am so very sorry for the loss of your wonderful wife Deb. I know she was loved by many, she was so in love with you, and she loved our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I remember sister Debbie always had a warm and beautiful smile, and a word of encouragement for everyone, when ever you saw her she always sparkled with the love and joy of God in her life, she truly was commited to Him and blessed by Him. I don't know the depth, yet I know the loss and pain you must be feeling is deep and ever so heavy. We do also know that the external God of heaven Jesus Christ, will see you through your loss and pain. He is all and all knowing, He knows everything about you, and He knows everything you need. It is times like this that your faith in God is not just tested, yet rather it is exorcised, and it is put to work in your life to allow you to truly lean upon, and receive from God all that you do need. I would have loved to be with you today , I wasn't shore how you felt. My thoughts and prayers will continue for you and your family. I believe sister Debbie is watching you, knowing that your love and commitment to God, your integrity and courage as a child of the King, and your love for your children, will allow you to lead them and yourself forward in a victorious way, as she would want you to do so. I truly love you Westrup, and I always have valued the relationship we had, I miss it, I have never gained again a friendship like the one we shared. I am so sorry it took Deb's death for me to get in touch with you, please forgive me for that. May the Eternal God of heaven bless and keep you and your family. With all my love, Lo Castro

The last time I saw you, Debbie, you were in a wheelchair and probably knew the end was near. You smiled and told me that Jesus is our friend. You kissed me and told me that you loved me. You told me I was a blessing to you and Jocelyn. ME. Me a blessing to you... but you and Jocelyn were blessing to me. Truly.
I came home from the funeral today and my little daughter asked me about you. I showed her your picture. She said "Don't you know she's alive? She's alive with God".
I love you, Debbie. Watch over us from Heaven. And I promise to help take care of your baby girl for as long as I am on this Earth.

Auntie Debbie,
We miss you so much. I know you wouldn't want anyone being sad but thats just impossible! I wish you could have seen yourself the way other saw you. You put others before yourself always. You always made everyone feel important and you took interest in what was going on in their lives. You have left such a mark on my life. Thank you for being you. Thank you for all the wonderful memories, all of them are happy because whenever anyone was with you they couldn't feel anything else but the joy that radiated out of you. Thank you for the countless smiles and giggles you brought out of my girls, they love you dearly and miss you like crazy. Ellies favorite memories with you is all the times you guys hid hot dogs in the backyard for Hunter to find..i dont want you to worry about her being sad because she gets it more than the rest of us! she isnt crying at all, she is smiling because she knows where you are and she knows we are all headed there too. Until we see you again ♥

My Dearest Debbie and I worked together for 20+ years. I will always remember the countless conversations we had about our families and mostly kids from birth into adulthood. We equally had many parallels in our lives that we openly shared with each other. Later on, many of those talks in confidence and never worried about either of us ever breaking that confidence . .I loved Debbie so much for having that quality of which is rare in most these days and always considered it a privilege that she equally confided in me. Debbie 'is' truly my mentor and was the only person I went to for questions about the Bible. Oh how I admired her for her wisdom and knowledge and no matter what challenges were posed before her . . .she always maintained her faith and encouraged others to rely on it no matter what. I speak in present tense because Debbie will forever be in my heart and I know that she will continue to watch over us, help us and guide us from the Heavens above. LOL . . I have no doubt that she had her Angel wings waiting for her and is most eager and enthused with serving our Good Lord in her new role. I love you Debbie with all my heart and will miss you! I had dreams of you healing but understand that there are bigger and better plans for you in our Lord's eyes. To Ben, Benjamin, Britton, Austin and Jocelyn. . .Debbie adored and loved you all so very much! I feel like you are my extended family with the many 'girl talks' Debbie and I shared together over many years. Please know that you are all in my prayers . .now and forever XO XO XO XO XO

Sometimes there are no words to adequately express our sorrow over Debbie's passing. She was an amazing wife, momma and friend. We held hands in the driveway the last time she drove over to drop Jocelyn off for a visit with Megan and she wanted to pray for my kids even in the midst of what she was enduring. Her faith was so strong. Sweet friend, I cherish our conversations, your smiles and laughter, and our shared experiences raising teens.
Our deepest sympathy to your family .

To Deb's family.
I worked with Deb for about 15 years. She was an amazing person, she often prayed with me and didn't waste any opportunity to teach me scriptures from the bible. On her last day at work, she came around and hugged me very tied, even though we hugged when we saw each other, this hug was different, it wasn't until later I found out that I may not see my friend again. Debbie was always there for me, and gave me the opportunity to know her on a friend level. I miss her so much and when I think about you, the children and her parents, I think how much more difficult is for you. Our prayers are with you and your family in this difficult time.

Debbie was my friend. In June of 1985 I graduated from high school after the graduation ceremony they've sent the grads to Disneyland. I had two tickets but I didn't have a date Debbie stepped in and went with me so I wouldn't be alone. Whenever I needed a ride to church she was there to give me a ride. After I got married my wife was very sick and Debbie with the big heart that she has stopped by with food for the family. She was the only one to visit my wife at that time. My condolences to Ben and her children, I know you have to be hurting. I wish I could be there to give my friend Ben a hug. I love you brother and God bless you.

I had the pleasure of working with Debbie for about three years. Debbie's task was to train me so I could assist her. We quickly became friends(sort of like pen pals). When I let Debbie know my husband was a Pastor, we became prayer partners, from California to Virginia. I will truly miss my conversations with her. May God be with you and take care of you. Please accept my deepest condolences, and know that God loves you and can restore your spirits, give you peace and strengthen you.

To all my family and friends who will help make this day the most memorable day of my life. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. This day is because our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ called Debbie home. He chose not to heal Debbie. I don't know why. but I do know that he is sovereign and has a divine purpose why.
Now to my dearest Debbie, My heart is aching and the house is empty without you dear, and I plan to move forward because quite frankly that who we are. Yes, you are the most sweetest, the most loving person I know. However, you are also the toughest person I know. Through our life's journey for almost 29 years of marriage you display great character and strength through our disappointments and difficulties that life can bring. Together we are more than conquers through Jesus Christ.
If I may, I would like to share with all of you that deb's final moments with me holding her hand and me (not Debbie) crying like a baby were together praying for our children Benjamin, Austin, Britton and my Babydoll. Then it went into deeper prayer, and calling out to Jesus for different people and family who God brought to my mind.
The most heart wrenching moment turned into the most beautiful.
Together dear ! that's who we are. Love to all of you, our dear family and friends,
Ben and Deb

Debbie ... You marched to the beat of a different drum ... You lived a life of loving others and thinking about the happiness of others especially your kids. You paid no mind to the silly cares of this life that we all get so caught up in .. The things that really don't matter and don't last... You somehow knew, you knew to spend your time on this earth doing what so many of us don't -- making God and relationships with others the highest priority. Another "one in a million" in heaven.
