James Tiger Lockhart, I remember when we had our first play date in 6th grade. I think you and your dad were moving some boxes because you had just moved in or something, and I helped out a bit. I grabbed as many boxes as I could to throw them out. Your dad saw me and he was like, "Wow three boxes!" The boxes stacked on top of each other were like twice my height back then and I threw them out. This was my first impression I had on your dad. He told me a few years later when we were carpooling freshman year at Crespi, that that moment when I grabbed the boxes, he knew I was a good person and that he told you to befriend me because of this little act of kindness. This memory may not really be that big or that important, but when your dad said this to me my freshman year in high school, it stuck with me. What your dad said taught me that the little things can influence a bigger picture and that little things do matter. Ever since your dad said this to me, my value on first impressions has increased exponentially. I'd like to thank your dad for that. I've had countless parents tell me that their first impression of me was, awesome or respectful or helpful. All this was because of Mr. Lockhart. When I heard about the sad news, I was in my bed, and I said to myself, "Wow, I can't believe it. The world lost a good man." Your dad's influence on me played a crucial role in my maturity and I can't thank him enough. He was such a nice man and he was one of the best and chillest dads I've met. I'm sorry Tiger, I wish you the best bro.
