Patricia Ruth Thompson, 87, of Valencia, California, passed away on March 5, 2016 in Oak Park, California. Funeral services will be held at Rose Family Funeral Home on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Kevin Rettig of Our Lady of the Valley Church officiating. A private Burial will follow at Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks, Westlake Village, California. Visitation will be held at Rose Family Funeral Home on Saturday, March 12, 2016 between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Patricia Ruth (Pat) Thompson was born in Chicago, Illinois to Robert and Sarah Clifford on March 23, 1928. She went to high school at Providence Catholic in Chicago and graduated in 1946. She also attended classes at Loyola University in Chicago. She worked as a Telephone Sales Representative for AT&T for 25 years. She enjoyed traveling and visiting with her family and friends. She also enjoyed painting and playing golf and was involved with the Telephone Pioneers. Pat is survived by her son, Cliff, his wife Alice, and her grandchildren David and Julie of St. Louis, Missouri as well as her son Dan, his wife Diane, and her grandchildren Brian and Stephen. Pat is also survived by her sister-in-law Tillie and her nieces Pam, Pat, Paula & Claudia and her nephew Jimmie and their families, in addition to her other sister-in-law Barbara and her other nephew Jerry and her niece Laura and their families. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Sarah and her brothers Bob, Jim and Jerry. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Pat’s various caregivers for helping her through her lengthy illness.
