Obituary of Dinorah Bernice Saldana

Please share a memory of Dinorah to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Dee Dee passed away quietly and unexpectedly in her sleep at the age of 40 due to natural causes following a fever on Friday February 26, 2016 at her home of 20 years in Northridge, California. Born in Torrance, California in 1975 to Gus and Robbie Saldaña, sister to Vincent and eventually Katie. Dee Dee was a source of great love. Though Dee Dee was born with blindness and other cognitive disabilities, her joy and innocence charmed anyone who had the pleasure of meeting her. In 1983 at the age of 8, Dee Dee went to the California School For The Blind in Fremont, California whose wealth of resources, curriculum and events fed her spirit, encouraged her development, and gave her a happy home with many friends where lived until she was 18. In 1997 at the age of 20 Dee Dee became a resident at Therapeutic Living Centers for the Blind in Reseda, California where she resided at Donna House. Dee Dee was a positive spirit who loved music, loved to laugh and loved to eat. She is survived by her father, brother, sister, niece, and many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at her school hall at TLC on Sunday, March 20 from 12:30-3. Where we'll have a pizza party with music, her loving friends, roommates, staff and family. Please feel free to bring a dessert. Please RSVP by Weds, March 16th. For those who don't have Facebook, please RSVP katiepua@hotmail.com or text (949)235-0838 In lieu of flowers please make donation to Dee Dee's school on her behalf. http://tlc4blind.org/donate-now RSVP by March 16th Date: Sunday March 20 Time: 12:30-3 Location: TLC 7915 Lindley Ave Reseda CA 91330 United States Love, music, laughter
