Obituary of Joseph A. Franco

Joseph (Jose De Jesus) (Chuy) Franco, age 98, of Simi Valley, California, passed away on February 26, 2016 in Simi Valley, California. Funeral service will be held at Rose Family Funeral Home 4444 Cochran Street in Simi Valley, California on Saturday, March 5, 2016 between 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM with Father Ruiz of Saint Peter Claver officiating. Private burial services will occur at a later date. Rose Family Funeral Home (805) 581-3800 will be handling the funeral arrangements. Joseph Franco was born in Valle De Guadalupe, Jalisco, Mexico to Bruno and Juana Franco on December 14, 1917. He went to school in Santa Monica, California. He worked as a Foreman for Valley Brick and Supply for 33 years. He enjoyed cock fighting and was given the name of “Chicken Joe”. He was well respected for his expertise in the sport. Joseph is survived by his six children, Bruno, Justino, Olivia, Estella, Rachel and Jesse and twenty nine grandchildren. He is also survived by his two brothers Fransciso and Antonio Franco and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and many other loving relatives and friends.
