OTTO LOUIS GOERISCH was born November 11, 1922, in Chicago, Illinois to Otto Albert Goerisch and Meta Victoria Martens Goerisch, and died on February 20, 2014. Otto was predeceased by a brother, Burton Goerisch, sisters, Violet Probst, Ruth Mitchell, LaVerne Tyner and Marilyn Rothwell. Also, children Lawrence Edward Goerisch and Jana Marie Goerisch. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Doris Christine Goerisch. He is also survived by daughters, Judith Mauck-Klein, Ann Gonzalez, Mary Brom and sons, Michael Goerisch and Robert Goerisch. Thirteen grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Otto was a wood craftsman, making many gifts for family and friends of his own design. He fulfilled a childhood dream by enjoying many hours of living in a cottage in the north country of Minnesota, fishing and boating on the nearby lake. He served six years in the Navy during World War II. He worked for Radioplane, which became part of Northrop Corp., retiring after 30 years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to "Serving Those In Need" St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 1305 Royal Avenue, Simi Valley, CA 93065. Vigil service will be Friday, February 28, 2014, at 7 p.m. at Rose Family Mortuary, 4444 Cochran Street, Simi Valley, California.
