Obituary of Charles Kaltenbach

Charles Jerome Kaltenbach was born to Francis and Agnes Kaltenbach in Lake Township, Michigan on April 16, 1936. He was baptized on April 26, 1936 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Clinton Township. The Kaltenbach family relocated to Van Nuys, California in 1951. Chuck graduated from Van Nuys High School in 1953. He loved to sing and attended Valley College in San Fernando Valley. He was a "Sigma Alpha Phi" which was a musical Fraternity/Sorority. The group performed frequently at Camarillo State Hospital and throughout all of California. He was a butcher by trade and later became a realtor and Notary Public. Chuck was proud to be an American and proud to be a Catholic. Chuck was an avid golfer. In addition to having a great sense of humor, he loved music and square dancing. Chuck was the third child. He had two brothers, Richard and Frank, and two sisters, Sue and Mary. Chuck became a father of five with three sons, Patrick, John, and Michael (who preceded him in death), and two daughters, Susanne and Mary. Chuck is also survived by four granddaughter's Marie, Corinne, Hanna and Angela. On Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 3:07a.m. Charles' pain and suffering finally ceased. Family and friends are invited to join us for a Vigil-Viewing at Rose Family Funeral Home on Monday, November 25, 2013 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. Rosary at 7:00pm. Mass to follow on Tuesday morning at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church at 10:00am and Reception afterwards at the Simi Valley Elk's Lodge at 1561 Kuehner Drive, Simi Valley, California.
