Obituary of Stephen Michael Douglass

Stephen Michael Douglass, 60, of Simi Valley, CA went home to the Lord on February 10, 2019. He passed away in his home surrounded by his family.

Visitation will be held at Rose Family Funeral Home in Simi Valley on Monday, February 18^th from 5 PM to 9 PM. Rose Family Funeral Home is located at 4444 Cochran Street, Simi Valley, CA. Rose Family Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements. 

Stephen was born in Scottsdale, AZ to Robert and Margaret Douglass on June 27, 1958. He went to Arcadia High School and graduated in 1976. He went on to earn a degree in Economics from UCLA. He worked as a mortgage banker at Countrywide for 21 years. He was an avid Dodgers fan and loved UCLA football and basketball.

Stephen is survived by his wife, Deborah of Simi Valley. He is also survived by his parents, Robert and Margaret Douglass of Arcadia, Daughter and Son-in-law Lauren and Matthew Albright of Phoenix, AZ, son Michael of Simi Valley, CA, Sister and Brother-in-law Lisa and Jeff Erwin of Utah, Sister Debra of Simi Valley, CA, Nieces Ashley Turock of Camarillo, Kelly and Katie Erwin of Utah, and Nephew Dan Turock of Ventura. Stephen is preceded in death by his Mother and Father-in-law Vivian and Martin Cummings and Brother-in-law Dan J. Turock.

Memorial donations may be made to Feed the Children, Inc. in Oklahoma City, OK, Save the Children in Westport, CT or UCLA General Fund in Los Angeles, CA. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr. Shay Ashouri for his compassionate care throughout Stephen’s illness.
