Obituary of Danielle Jeane Bryce
Please share a memory of Danielle to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Danielle Jeane Bryce. Born May 18, 1985. Thousand Oaks. ALL California girl who LOVED to Live Life Big and Wild. Her favorite song says it all—“Dance Magic Dance. Jump Magic Jump.” LOVED running and dancing on the beach. LOVED swimming like a mermaid. Like a “Bali” mermaid. LOVED to dream. Really dream. How cool. Slept too much because she loved to dream. Lived 100 lifetimes in 31 years. Drove too fast? Of course. Doing donuts on road shoulders because she could—She was the “wild card.” Really? (Her friends called her that!) Favorite color? Purple, of course.
ALL Family Girl. LOVED her family. “Daddio” Scott, “Mama” Deb, “Kyle-Bear” Kyle & “Little Big Sis” Timarie. Family outings. Camping trips. The Beach. The Lake. The anywhere. Anytime. Always game to go with family. And always “I can do that.” So competitive. Soccer, volleyball, basketball and track. Surfing. Water skiing. A “grit-your-teeth-and-go” girl. Always trying to one-up the world. Even kickball, can you believe it? Associate degree in Sociology. LOVED working with kids, being with kids. LOVED kids because she was a kid. LOVED being a friend. And what a friend!
LOVED Breaded Chicken & Mashed Potatoes & Sourdough Bread. Someone loved carbs . . . Loved Big Salads & Stir Fry. Carrot Sticks and Ranch Dressing. AND, Mama’s Bourekas! LOVED KitKats, Starbursts, Skittles. Loved Ice Cream. A 5-shot espresso girl. A pain to take into Starbucks!
Movie quoter supreme—Any movie. Any time. LOVED Labyrinth, Princess Bride, Little Mermaid. Knew them all. Way too much. That was her. Can still hear, Little Mermaid? “You got your own style, now let it come through. And remember no matter what, you got to be you.” Labyrinth? “Live without your sunlight, love without your heartbeat.” OR “You remind me of the Babe. What babe?” She couldn’t have said it better. But she did. SO absolutely Danielle.
Could she laugh? Oh, baby, yes. LOVED TO LAUGH. A meteor of laughter flying across every room. And she lit it up! Clothes mantra? “If you’re going to wear a loose top, you need tight pants.” Of course. Yoga & Ice Cream, Meditation & Rock n’ Roll. All rolled into one Danielle. You couldn’t ask for more. And yet she always asked for more. Of life. And everything. We expected nothing less. And she always gave more.
Still our fireball. Dancing with abandon. Driving her race car life. Couldn’t get enough of it ALL. Laughter. Mashed potatoes. Movie quoting. Candy eating. Kid-Loving Family Girl! Our fantastic meteor who lights up, brights up, all our lives—Still! You go girl! You LOVED IT ALL! You will always make us smile . . .
