Obituary of Stuart Lester Houlihan

Stuart "Stu" Lester Houlihan, 61, of Winnetka, CA, passed away on November 23, 2016 in Northridge, CA.
Funeral service will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Hollywood Hills at the Old North Church on Thursday, December 1st, 2016 at 9:00am with Pastor Shawn of The Shepherd of the Hills officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Hollywood Hills. Rose Family Funeral Home will be handling the funeral arrangements.
Stu was born in California to Laura Elaine Houlihan and Stuart Houlihan on March 18, 1955. He went to high school at Van Nuys High School and graduated from Taft High School in 1973. He went on to earn a Contractor's License to become an electrician. He worked as an electrician for Sherman Oaks Electric for 8 years before starting his own company Wizard of Power. He enjoyed jet skiing, boating, ballroom dancing, spending time with his horse as well as his family and friends. He received many ribbons and awards for his ballroom dancing.
Stu is survived by his father, Stan Smylie of Camarillo, CA; sister, Shelly Rockwell of Marysville, WA; brother, Kim (Pam) Smylie of Simi Valley, CA; nephews Jason (Sheryl) Miller of Simi Valley, CA, Chris (Irene) Smylie of Simi Valley, CA, and Adam (Andy) Smylie of Simi Valley, CA; Aunt, Sue Shadur of Sherman Oaks; cousins Robert and Carolyn Corrado of Sherman Oaks, CA, Joey Budna of Pescadero, CA, Renee Carlton, Westminster, CA, Russel Iiams of Cypress, CA; great nieces and nephews, Caleb and Chanel Smyle of Simi Valley, CA. He is preceded in death by his Mother, Laura Elaine Smylie.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to everyone at Stu's Dance Studio and California Pizza Kitchen for keeping booth empty and providing him with his last meal.
