Obituary of Andre Boulos Haddad
Please share a memory of Andre to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Andre Boulos Haddad at the age of 80 passed away peacefully on July 18th, 2016 at Dignity Hospital in Northridge, California. He suffered for 10 long years with Alzheimer and fought relentlessly alongside his immediate family.
Andre was born on Feb 7, 1936 in Haifa, Palestine to Boulos and Shafika. Due to his father passing at an early age, he learned good work ethics and became very independent and strong. He began working at the age of 16 and provided for his whole family along with his 5 siblings. He married Olivia and left his hometown to provide a better life for his wife and future children. After moving around in the Middle East region they ultimately settled in Southern California in 1975. He made his dream of living in America come true and never looked back. He was very proud to be able to live the “American Dream”.
He owned and operated his own businesses for over 30 years, working tirelessly to make sure he is providing the best for his family. His love for family and friends was pure and unconditional. His house was always open to whom was willing to step in. Although a mechanical technician by trade, he always marveled at God's creatures and had a soft heart for other beings. So much so that he would rescue any stray animals that came to his doorsteps. Along the years, he rescued 6 dogs, 14 cats and many other God's creatures. In his retirement ages he developed a passion for horses and made it a hobby to follow racehorses. Although never owned one, he spent many hours watching races and perfecting the art of “handicapping” the outcome horses’.
Andre survived alongside his wife of 53 years Olivia Haddad whom never left his side through it all. Additionally he is survived by his eldest daughter, Dina Javadi, her spouse Ali and their two children, Andre's second child, son Ihab Haddad, his spouse Rania and their two children, his third child, Sam Haddad, his spouse Kristina and their three children. He spent many wonderful hours with all his grandchildren. He even held on to see his last grandchild before he passed on. May his sole rest in peace and his memory be eternal! He will be so dearly missed. Allah yer-hamo!
