In Memory of Mark Walsh September 11, 1959 – March 8, 2016 Mark Richard Walsh, of Simi Valley, California, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2016 in Los Angeles, California. A memorial service will be held at Rose Family Funeral Home at 4444 Cochran Street, Simi Valley, California on Sunday, March 20th at 11:00 am. The Rose Family Funeral Home at (805) 581-3800 will be handling the funeral arrangements. Mark was born in Chicago, Illinois to Richard and Colleen Walsh on September 11, 1959 and grew up in Elmhurst, Illinois. As a young adult, he moved to Thousand Oaks, California to live with his aunt and uncle, Frances and John O’Leary. Mark worked in the printer/copier industry for over 30 years in positions ranging from Regional Manager to National Service Director. He enjoyed travel, cooking, woodworking, model trains, Scuba diving, Jet Skis, riding motorcycles and ATVs, and taking trips in the RV. He achieved his lifetime goal of getting his pilot’s license. Mark is survived by his wife, Laura Walsh of Simi Valley, California. He is also survived by his two sisters, Patricia Ewart (Don) and Jeanne Walsh, his sister-in-law, Karen Higgins (Brian Tipton), and many friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Richard P Walsh and his mother, Colleen Casey Walsh. He is also preceded in death by his aunt and uncle, Frances and John O’Leary who were his godparents. Mark was loved and will be remembered as a loving husband and a wonderful friend to many and will be greatly missed.
