Obituary of George Emory Dean

George Emory Dean IV of Simi Valley, CA, passed away on April 26, 2015 in Simi Valley, CA. Funeral services will be held at Chapel of the Oaks at Oakwood Memorial Park, 22601 Lassen St., Chatsworth, CA on Monday, May 4, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. with Dr. Carlton Green of the West Valley congregation of Grace Communion International in Northridge, CA officiating. Rose Family Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements. George was born in San Diego, CA to George E. Dean III and Carol (Daniels) Dean on March 12, 1980. He graduated from Simi Valley High School in 1998. He went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from UCLA in 2003. He worked as Senior Mobile Developer for GoDaddy. George enjoyed composing music for films and computer gaming. He was a devoted film buff and an avid reader. George was the first student in the history of Simi Valley High School to achieve a perfect score on the S.A.T.s and graduated cum laude from UCLA. He was a long time member of Grace Communion International church, where he performed duets with his sister, Sara, and played clarinet with the instrumental ensemble. George is survived by his parents, George E. Dean III and Carol L. Dean; one sister, Sara C. Dean, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, George E. Dean Jr. and Edna Dean Parnell and his maternal grandparents, Roy G. Daniels and Nora (Andrews) Daniels.
