Obituary of Lila Lee Goldin

Lila L. Goldin, 89, a 20-year resident of Las Vegas, passed away on January 9, 2015 at the Clarendon Assisted Living Facility, her home of three years in Woodland Hills, California. She lived at the Laguna Verde townhouses on Twain Ave. till 2011. Born in New York City, she was married at 20 to Dr. Jerome Goldin, a dentist in Manhattan, till his death in 1986. She worked for many years as a liaison to the press at the United Nations’ Food and Agricultural Organization and created their press office, which she ran until she retired in the mid-1980s. Mrs. Goldin moved three years ago to Los Angeles to be closer to her daughter, Bobbi Goldin, and son-in-law, William Atherton, when she needed greater care. Her ashes will be placed along side her husband in Montefiore Cemetery in Queens, NY this spring. She loved living in Las Vegas and it was her greatest pleasure as a city girl from Brooklyn to sit on her patio and look out at the mountains every morning.
