I met Diana through working at the homeless shelter at Westminster Presbyterian Church, she became a friend and I was honored to be her friend. I loved her wisdom and stories and she made the world a better place. She was a star who will continue to shine
on through her spirit.
God Bless

It is with great regret that I cannot attend the memorial service for Diana; other non-profit efforts have been previously scheduled.
Diana was so great as I approached her with veterans needs, and was always personally involved with my more personal needs in her area. It is hard to find someone who so clearly understood the needs of others, and at the same time could be strong in carrying out the sometimes conflicting responsibilities of her position. Whatever the need, her heart was in her work.
I will dearly miss working with Diana, but look forward to continuing work with her beloved LSS through the Elks lodge and with veterans service organizations.

Diana carried with her a spirit of calm and contentment. No one was going to take that from her. She shared that spirit with everyone that was open to receive. Also, Diana had so much wisdom and discernment that many tried but very few got away with deceit or misleading statements when they were dealing with her. Her word was her bond. I knew that I could trust what ever she committed.
I think I will miss her smile the most that greeted me with encouragement and friendliness. Anytime that we interacted with each other in our work with the needy, homeless or on a panel or committee, I looked forward to her problem solving or at the very least to find the humor in a situation that was out of our control.
I was blessed to have known and worked with Diana and to call friend.
Rest In Peace,
Betty

Diana has always held a special place in my heart. From the time we worked together at Simi Hospital to the years we spent working together at LSS, we shared many triumphs... and tears. She was a catalyst for positive change. She was instrumental in our development of the feeding program and winter warming shelter, and beautifully orchestrated every service opportunity that came our way. Diana instilled hope in the desperate and empowered the oppressed. There are so many qualities of Diana (her beautiful smile and her shared fondness for the color purple) and moments with her (both on- and off-the-clock) that I will forever treasure. She truly will be missed.

Diana will be missed. She left a very bright light for us. You were and always will be my inspiration. Diana was the perfect match for working with people, all people. She showed love and respect to everyone who walked to the office at Lutheran Social Services. Never tired of helping and caring for others. She had very high standards for herself and everyone she worked with. She came into the office always looking her very best, setting the bar high for the rest of us. I learned so much from her. So glad I had the honor of working with you Diana.
Till we meet again...
Tak, Elsie

Diana, you were a voice for the voiceless. You welcomed strangers and friends alike with a warm smile and a kind spirit. You may have never attained riches and fame here, but heaven is making much of the life you lived and now live even as I type.
God's peace, Rich

From the moment I saw Diana's warm encouraging smile when I brought a homeless man for help at Lutheran Social Services, I knew I was in good hands. She did what she could to extend the family of God's love in a very meaningful and tangible way. She put her time and her life where her faith was. I trust now that the caring hands she extended to others is now wrapping her in heavenly love as the faithful and good servant she was. She will be missed, but she will certainly be remembered.

I will miss you my dear "sister". Life at LSS won't be the same without my partner. I'm happy in the knowledge that you are reunited with John at last. Please hug my boy for me. Until I see you again, all my love. Leslie
