Obituary of Harrison Parks

Harrison Chris Robert Parks departed this earth unexpectedly on Sunday, March 30, at the tender age of 16. Harrison, affectionately called "Hot Dog" by his closest family members, was born in Germany and moved to Simi Valley in 2000, at the age of two.
Harrison leaves behind his father, Chad Parks and his mother, Kathie Parks; his older brother and best friend Shannon and two adoring younger sisters, Olivia and Calleigh.
Other family members and close friends include: Harrison's Oma, Herta Garcia; grandparents Lesley Parks, Walter and Esther Reel; sister in-law Laurin Marlette and niece Petunia; aunts & uncles Walt & Jessica Reel, Michael & Erinn Barnwell and Robyn Parks; family friends Hector Cazar, Natalie Randolph, and Joey Medina.
Harrison was in his Junior year at Royal High School excelling in advanced classes. He was active in the school's Cross Country and Track programs, never complaining about early morning weekend practices or late night study sessions. He was an avid reader with a keen interest in military history and WWII.
Harrison enjoyed competing against his brother and friends in video games. He loved off-roading, mountain biking, paint-ball, soccer, music and running.
Our loving Harrison will always be in remembered in our hearts as; witty, funny, intelligent, loving and compassionate, always seeking ways to make someone's day brighter leaving them smiling.
A Vigil Service will be held on Friday night, April 11th at the Royal High School Stadium at 7:45 PM.
Services will be held at noon on Saturday, April 12th, at St. Peter Claver Church, 2380 Stow Street in Simi Valley.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations in Harrison's memory please be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
