Obituary of Timothy Robert Iley

Timothy ‘Tim’ Robert Iley passed away peacefully on February 12th, 2025  in Simi Valley, surrounded by family.

Tim was born June 12, 1966 in Bexar county, Texas. He was adopted by his parents Herb and Ethel Iley at the age of 6. He loved his parents very much and was always very grateful for them adopting and loving him as their own. He was full of life with a vibrant and sarcastic sense of humor. He had a big smile, with an infectious laugh and had a wealth of knowledge about everything.

Tim was a free spirit who loved nature and the out doors, hiking, camping and fishing with his buddies. He was also an avid movie fan and loved going to the movie theaters with his daughter, he loved music, and sports as well. He was an avid Cowboys, Los Angeles Kings, and Dodgers fan.

Tim moved to Simi valley in 1973, which is where he resided the rest of his life. He graduated from Royal High school in 1985 where he was a part of the Wrestling team, as well as Track and Cross Country teams.

In 1990 Tim and his high school sweetheart, Bobbie, had their daughter, Monica.  Tim enjoyed being a father and adored Monica.

Tim got his first job as a paper boy at 10 years old. He also worked at the Simi Swap Meet and Drive-In.  After high school he persued his career in HVAC. He was a very hard worker.

In 2020 Tim became a grandpa, again in 2022 and 2024. He really loved his grandkids and was a proud Grandpa. They will forever miss their ‘Papa Tim’.

Tim is proceeded in death by his parents  Herb and Ethel Iley, and his brother Mike.

Tim is survived by his Daughter Monica, 3 grandkids, his Sisters Leann and Toni, brother Joe, and multiple nieces and nephews.
