Obituary of Alicia Williams

Alicia Williams passed away peacefully on January 4, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. in Simi Valley, California, at the age of 83.

Alicia was born in Guasave, Sinaloa, Mexico, to her loving parents, Adela Perez and Esteban Lopez. Alicia was preceded in death by her beloved siblings Socorro, Dora, and Camilo, all from Sinaloa.

Alicia’s life was full of passion and purpose. She graduated from a beauty academy in Tijuana in 1965, beginning a career in which she poured her creativity and care into others. She gave birth to her first child in 1970 and later married Robert George Williams in 1982. Together, they welcomed her second child into the world. Robert preceded her in death in 1996.

In December of 2000, Alicia relocated to Simi Valley, California. In 2002, she and her daughter opened a daycare business, a labor of love that would touch countless families over the years. Alicia was known for her unparalleled patience and love for the children in her care. Even as she battled pulmonary cancer starting in 2021, she remained a source of love and inspiration for all who knew her.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 22, at 5:00 p.m. at Rose Family Funeral Home, 4444 Cochran Street, Simi Valley. A Mass will follow on Thursday, January 23, at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Rose of Lima Church, 1305 Royal Avenue, Simi Valley. A reception to celebrate Alicia’s life will take place afterward at 1576 Ysrella Avenue, Simi Valley.
