Obituary of Janice Charlene Larsen

Janice Charlene Larsen (Chada), 85 of Simi Valley, California, peacefully passed away at home on December 23, 2024.

Janice was born in Humboldt, Iowa, on September 21, 1939, to the late Charles & Marie Chada.  After graduation, she went to Minneapolis to pursue a career as a flight attendant (known as a stewardess at that time).  After deciding that wasn’t her passion after all, Janice ended up attending Secretarial School in the Minneapolis area, where she met her soon to be husband, Roy.  They were married 63 years, before his passing in 2021.

Roy and Janice had two sons, Brian and Todd, before moving across country in 1968 to Simi Valley, California where they resided ever since.  Over the years Janice worked for the school district and Deluxe Check Printers, while on the side, the neighborhood  Avon Lady.  Her hobbies included doll making, painting and needlework.

Janice is survived by her brother, Chuck Chada, sons Brian and Todd (wife Stacy), her grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Lauren, Cody, Ashlyn and Jordan, along with her Great Grandchildren, Camden, Maci, Cooper & Blake ; as well as many cherished friends and extended family members.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on January 14, 2025 at the Oakwood Memorial Park Cemetery in Chatsworth  to honor Janice’s life.
