Obituary of Evette Danielle Meuse

Evette Danielle Meuse, 48, of Simi Valley and Alameda, CA passed away on July 28th.

Evette was born in 1975 to David and Cathy Meuse on October 14th in Anaheim, CA. She graduated from Simi Valley High School in 1993, being voted most unique, and was well known for her bright smile and energetic and warm personality.

After graduation she followed her heart with a change of scenery, moving to Wisconsin, where she earned her welding license, learned to drive a forklift and received awards at the company she worked, despite being one of the few females in a male dominated workplace.

She returned to California in 1999, building her career in high tech while enjoying the LA nightlife with friends, before eventually moving to the Bay Area. Evette’s love for technology and video games led to her joining Sony Interactive Entertainment in San Mateo, where she thrived in a critical role in the eSports division for the last 7 years.

Evette enjoyed dancing, music and spending time with her family during the holidays. She loved her family and friends in her own special way and always looked after her brother, sister and niece, as they grew from kids to adults. She loved muscle cars, owning several over the years. Perhaps, she was inspired by her Uncle Stan who nicknamed her “Evette Corvette” when she was a mere toddler. Evette loved spoiling her two nephews, Jaxton and Owen, and spent countless hours building birdhouses, painting and doing other arts and crafts projects with them.

Evette is survived by her mother Cathy Meuse-White, stepfather Ron White, sister Michelle and brother Ryan, along with her niece Desiree and nephews Michael, Andrew, Jaxton and Owen. She is preceded in death by her father David Meuse.

Evette had so many wonderful attributes and endearing quirks that made her so unique. We will remember her with love and fondness forever.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude during this time to all of their extended family and friends, especially Carolyn Hand, Simi Community Church, and Steven Roberts at Sony Interactive.

A celebration of Evette’s life will be held at Simi Valley Community Church at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 31st.
