Mother Gardner will be surely missed. I remember when I first met Mother Gardner at Antioch Church and I called her Mother Gardner she corrected me and said "baby call me Sister Gardner because Mother Gardner make me feel old". Mother Gardner always had a smile on her face and love in her heart. I never seen her down she was very inspirational to me in many ways. My child also love her and looked forward to seeing her every Sunday morning. She would greet them with a hug, kiss and an altoid mint because she didn't do candy. We love and miss you Mother Gardner.

Sis. Gardener was so special, she holds such a special place in my heart. Her words of encouragement, her smile, her joy. Always just loved being around her. Sis. Gardener Thank you for always being one to listen and give wisdom. Being able to always share God and allow others to know you were a Child of the King, and for showing me a couple chords on the piano. You will be greatly missed, but we know you where listening for your name to be called. Rest well, and Love you very much.

My most deepest and sincere condolences to the Family of my sweet Sister Gardner. She will forever live in our memories, she was the reason why me and my girls became part of the Antioch MBC Family, she was my inspiration and my teacher as I learned to walk with Christ. “We missed you but we are so glad that you are in the presence of our Creator. . . We will always loved you!!!”

My deepest condolences to the family. I had the pleasure of knowing Mother Gardner through Antioch. I served with her in Sunday School, Care ministry, and the music ministry. She was always a willing heart, a gentle spirit, a wise word, and a bright smile whenever I was in her presence. Mother Gardner was very supportive and encouraging to the youth and to our Pastor. She had a passion for the Word of God. She will be greatly missed and her memory cherished forever. Her contributions to the Antioch ministry cannot be measured. She was integral.

Mother Gardner was a beautiful light. Always instilling Gods word in us. I was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist church when Pastor Philip Scott was Pastor. I was about 12 years old when I became a member and was up until I went off to college in 2002. Mother Gardner will always have a very special place in my heart. I know she is with our Lord and Savior and He has said “Well done my good and faithful servant!” Rest well Mother Gardner!

I will never forget and will never stop loving you. You are my angel and will live in my heart forever. Thank you Sis Gardner for all the wonderful times we shared going to Denny’s and you ONLY eating dessert and not your food LOL. Also, going to your sister Thelma house just to sit up and talk about the most randomness things. Just know that I will remember everything. You were a blessing in my life, and I will cherish our memories forever. Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted” (Matthew 5:4).

The Antioch Family sends their love to the family of Mother Gardner. We thank you for sharing her with us most of all, We thank God for the Love He shared through her to us. Words can never express how much she has meant to the Antioch Riverside Family. For her words of encouragement, her laughter and her love will always be a part of Antioch. She was our First Lady and will always be the First Pastor's wife of the Antioch Family. We were blessed because of her. May God continue to strengthen you, the Family. And know even in your time of grief God saw fit to call her home, for she fought a good fight; she walked a great journey, she was a godly example, she labored a long time, for we believe absent from the body, present with the Lord. 2 Cor. 5:8,9; 1 Thess. 4:13-18
