I also remember her house being the gathering ground for most family events. And when Grandpa would show up in his vintage truck, I was always kept in charge of Jaime, and they would always ask where is your sister, and I would say "Have you checked Grandpa's truck, lol? She loved that thing." Truly Grandma did have an inviting home to bring us all together.

So Many Memories.... From when I was a jaundiced baby and she would have take me out in the sun to sunbathe to help it, to our shared love of reading and history, and her amazing ability to be creative. In middle school we had to do a book poster and she helped me create a book poster based on one of our favorite authors Agatha Christie. She also helped me paint a birdhouse I made in Boy Scouts and she made it look so beautiful. Truly an inspiring, supportive and artistic soul. Love, always

I have so many fond memories of my grandmother. Looking back, one thing I really cherish is how she was always ready to be a part of whatever I was doing at the time. When I was a young kid, I remember so many late Saturday nights when she would sit on the couch and craft while I watched some ridiculous classic horror / sci-fi movie on KTLA. Or the time she joined my cousin Jay and me on a trip to the theater to see Tropic Thunder. I guess she was a bigger Tom Cruise fan than I realized. Thank you for so many great times and always being there with a smile and hug. Rest in Power, grandma.

I was going to add that Tropic Thunder story, I was telling my mom, but I'm glad both of us remember, movie starts and we both turn to each other and say "what have we done". lol Grandma was always one to roll with whatever we did.
