i miss you so much, papa. im not sure if i will ever get over your death. i will never forget being told that im getting a pony for my birthday or "so are the days of our lives." ill never forget lying on your lap every saturday night, barely able to keep my eyes open. ill never forget the way your beard scratched me every time you hugged me, or how your laugh was so contagious, how you made everyone smile. you lit up every room you walked into. every time i think about you, my heart beats a little bit faster. i hug the husky plushie you got me and my big pony plushie every time i miss you. you were always laughing and always smiling. i will never forget when we went to hawaii and you gave everyone covid, lol. i had a horrible sore throat but you still made me laugh, despite how it hurt. i hope youre enjoying a big german chocolate cake up in heaven. i love you forever, papa. (p.s., skipper misses you.)

Rocky. I have known you all of my life. You were like a second dad to me growing up. Second family. Going on camping trips together. My parents and you all getting the Ventura timeshare and us spending a week each year at the ocean. Us at your house. You all at our house. Us kids always together Me Amanda Angela and Liz. Living across the street from each other. Such fond memories I will cherish forever. And how can we forget the INFAMOUS guys gathering..... always coukd find my Dad, Rocky, Dan in one of each other's garages. They all loved their guy time and notorious if you couldn't find them at your own home, go look in one of their garages.
Love to you all and so sorry for your loss.

I met Rocky & Wendy when I first moved to Simi in 1976, I was staying at my sister & brother in-laws! Rocky & Wendy lived across the street from them & were friends! Rocky could tease with the best of them (all in good fun)…he use to make so much fun of my Iowa Hawkeyes! He had a great sense of humor! We had some pretty great times & fun for pre-holiday celebrations!! Rocky was one of the best, he loved his family immensely & was a great “dad” & “grandfather” !! He also loved animals! But as much as he loved he was much loved in return! You could see it & feel it…with Wendy, with his daughters & his grandchildren. As we all have grown & moved on…lost some of our loved ones as well…we kept in touch through Christmas letters & social media! Rocky will be missed! The price we all pay for love! RIP ROCkY!! ❤️

I worked with Rocky for over 20 years. We each ended up at the same disty thru out the years. He was a funny and compassionate guy. He could always make you laugh if he saw you were feeling down. He was a great friend and I will miss him. Rest in peace, Rockycoon….Debbie (Rivers) and John Bodnar

How do you summarize 50 years of friendship, laughter and shared family times. We have had the great privilege of sharing so many memorable experiences. In our youth Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm and wine tasting in So Cal. Remember our favorite back then was Lambrusco. Then the kids came along and it was birthday parties, backyard barbecues baptisms, communions and Super Bowl parties. And then came our more mature years when we could get away by ourselves again - Hawaii, traveling to Virginia in my new car with Wendy on crutches, and cruising. We shared our first cruise with you. Alaska will always be one of our fondest memories. And we shared our last cruise with you. The Baltic cruise had so many highlights - starting in Denmark, the home of your ancestor; on to Estonia; then Germany and the concentration camp. We enjoyed the beauty of Russia but sensed the tension of being there. How about the appetizer's on the balcony of Pam's suite as we left Sweden through the Archipelago.
So many memories: You and Ken sailing off the coast in Ventura. We shared our 25th with you in Hawaii. It was the first of many trips back to the Islands. We enjoyed sampling the local adult beverages: Lava Flows, Hurricanes and Mai Tais. Rocky and I raced Ken and Wendy back to the hotel. You kept encouraging me to go faster "Dig Sandy, dig". Who can forget the beauty of snorkeling off the Fair Wind. And we shared our 30th with you and Wendy in San Francisco. We checked out Golden Gate Park, the wine country and the cuisine in the Italian District.
I remember when we were celebrating your 50th birthday and I said welcome to middle age! You responded with how many 100 year olds do you know!!! Our families have been have been like one big family. We are going to miss your laughter and your teasing ways. We hope that you are enjoying a coffee and some German chocolate cake up in heaven right now. We'll miss you good buddy.

Rocky, we have been neighbors for almost 49 years. We both have had the privilege of enjoying our families over these many years. I will miss your good natured humor and living life vicariously through your many travels with Wendy. God speed my friend, you are in my prayers.

So many years ago, we sat in the dark, talking about home. A Couple of California boys... Rocky took a lot of teasing about El Centro. Is it true there was only 1 stop light in town? We laughed, we reminisced about our experiences growing up. young men away from home for the first time. This is how we survived that year in Vietnam. Thank You for being that connection to Home and the World.

I’ll always remember the first time Rocky saw snow. We had such fun making a snowman and snowballs. Also I was in Hugh school and he was back in Iowa. We had plans to go out with my then boyfriend but they “ditched” me. Rocky thought that was hilarious!!

Q: What will you miss most about Rocky?
A: His sense of humor was like none other I have ever encountered. He loved to be a jokester and always made me feel loved by his teasing. He was a good friend to our whole family and will be dearly missed.
