Obituary of Louis Anthony Cicalese

Please share a memory of Louis to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Beloved husband, father and friend, Louis Anthony Cicalese, 79,
of Moorpark CA, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2023.
Louis was born on July 14, 1943, to Leo and Lucy Cicalese of
Philadelphia, PA. After graduating from Lasalle High School in
1960, Louis went on to study political science at Lasalle University
and earned his Juris Doctor degree from Villanova Law School,
where he graduated near the top of his class. He worked for more
than 45 years as a successful real estate attorney in Philadelphia.
Louis hunted in parts of Europe and Africa and visited many
destinations around the world during his lifetime. Louis loved his
dogs; they were a big part of his pheasant hunts on the farm in
Bucks County. Never one to sit still, he also loved fly fishing,
woodworking and was a devoted member of his church, St. John
the Baptist (Ottsville, PA) and Holy Cross (Moorpark, CA). You
could always find him in the corner seat of the last pew on
Sundays.

Upon his retirement in 2017, Louis ventured across the country
with JB to California. He immediately went back to work and was
successfully managing a large avocado and lemon orchard at the
time of his passing. He will be dearly missed by his employees,
his family and friends, who described Louis as “a one-of-a-kind
character.”

Louis is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Janet Cicalese,
and their son John-Louis Bratton Cicalese (Jillian), Louis’ children
Michael Cicalese (Rachel), Carla Sullivan (Bob) and 5
grandchildren.

There will be a celebration of life March 11, 2023 12pm at Holy
Cross Church, Moorpark, CA. There will also be a celebration of
life at St. John the Baptist, Ottsville, Pa on May 20, 2023 at 10am.

In lieu of flowers, a contribution to Paw Works (79 E. Daily Drive
Camarillo, CA 93010)
https://www.pawworks.org/donate/ in Louis’ name or a charity of
your choice, would be greatly appreciated by his family.
