Agnes  Carmella Borzaga Kratzer Talley died peacefully at her home in Porter Ranch, California on July 26, 2022 at the age of 86 after a nine-year battle with cancer. Agnes was born July 17, 1936 at the home of her late parents, Ernesto Lorenzo and Agnes Seppi (Nee Mafe) Borzaga in Hazleton, Pennsylvania.

Agnes is survived by her children, Ernest (Patti) Kratzer and Barbara (Kratzer) Ball, Kim Beach, Leslie Babrowicz, Jana Rondan, nephew Alfred (Carole) Battisti, grandchildren Michele (Donovan) Slinkard, R. Will Kratzer, Andrew Babrowicz, Ben, Lucas, Julia and Nathaniel Rondan and great grandchildren Rylee and Mason.  She is preceded in death by her first husband Frank H. Kratzer, her second husband James H. Talley, her sister Edna Battisti, her son William F. Kratzer, and her grandson Jacob Babrowicz. 

Agnes graduated from Sacred Heart School of Nursing in Allentown, Pennsylvania in 1956.  After moving to Northridge, California in 1965, Agnes worked for California State University Northridge as a Registered Nurse Practitioner until her retirement. Agnes was a trailblazer on campus for students' (especially women's) reproductive education.  She was published in her field and offered young adults advice through a collaboration on EROS Reproductive Health.

A memorial service is scheduled August 12, 2022 at 11:00 at Saint Mary the Virgin Church 22601 Lassen St Chatsworth, CA  91311, with a graveside service to follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Bishop Anthony Rausch will officiate the ceremony. A celebration of life will follow.  All are welcome to attend and celebrate Agnes’ life. In lieu of flowers, donations to The American Cancer Society to keep her legacy alive would be appreciated.
