Obituary of Dorene Fike
Please share a memory of Dorene to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Our beloved, Dorene Fike, age 66, went home to our heavenly Father peacefully on the morning of September 6, 2013. She was born February 11, 1947 and resided in Los Angeles County most of her life, of which the most recent 40 years were spent in Canyon Country, California.
Her greatest pride and joy was her family who she took amazing and thoughtful care of. Dorene is survived by her loving family; her devoted husband of over 42 years, Wynn, three children, Kimberly, Dawn and Troy, five grandchildren, Troy, Jacob, Darla, Nathan and Benjamin, and three great grandchildren. She is also survived by her father, Victor and brothers, Scott and Ken along with their families.
Dorene was a generous, kind and fun-loving spirit full of life and love. She was the ultimate giver. She was seldom at a loss for conversation and loved to make friends everywhere she went. In her lifetime, she experienced some incredible adventures including traveling the southern and eastern states and over the last several years vacationing in Florida and Maui, cruising to Mexico and Alaska as well as frequent getaways to Laughlin, Nevada. She enjoyed the beach, shopping, reading, gardening and sewing and made very special handmade quilts for many of her loved ones.
She was a Wife, Mom, Bubbie, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Niece, Cousin and Friend who is adored and loved by many people that she positively touched with her gracious and encouraging nature. Dorene was truly a treasure who filled our lives with color and unconditional love and left us beautiful memories to cherish. Smile when you remember her and keep her in your heart where she will be with us always, as we will forever be with her.
A service and celebration of Dorene's life will be planned for Saturday, October 5, 2013 in Santa Clarita, California. Please contact her children to receive additional details.
Rest in paradise Mama! Thank you for being a blessing in our lives. We appreciate every moment we had with you. We love you!
