Obituary of Eliana Rose Lara

It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved Eliana. Eliana Rose Lara earned her angel wings in Simi Valley, CA, on April 15, 2020, following a 10 month battle with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG), a form of brain cancer. Eliana was born on November 30, 2014 to parents Endy and Yvette Lara in Woodland Hills, Ca. During Eliana’s five years here on Earth, she touched many lives and was deeply loved by parents and family. Eliana faced pediatric cancer with a resilience and fortitude that inspired all who knew of her story. Eliana was so sweet, loving, kind, funny, very smart and just a beautiful little girl. She loved to sing, dance, and play with her family and puppy Olaf. She enjoyed playing with her Barbies, drawing pictures and watching Peppa pig. She loved going to Disneyland, Camping and traveling on airplanes. Eliana attended Berylwood Elementary School. Eliana is survived by her parents, Yvette and Endy Lara, her brothers Damian Villasenor, Isaac and Emilio Lara; maternal grandparents Refugio and Rosa Gallo; paternal grandparents Camerino and Rosario Lara; aunts and uncles Maritza and Sergio Luna, Jorge Gallo, Yesenia Gallo, Cynthia Gallo, Miguel Gallo, Camerino Jr. and Elena Lara, Elissa Lara, Vanessa Lara; and a host of numerous loving relatives and friends. A Public Farewell Parade will be held on April 29, 2020 at 11:30am in Simi Valley on Fitzgerald Rd. and First St. (vehicles are to line up along both sides of Fitzgerald Rd., Eliana will be passing by on a horse and carriage starting at First St. going east bound on Fitzgerald Rd.) Due to COVID-19, we are unable to have a public funeral service for Eliana. However, this farewell parade is a way of giving back to everyone who has been a part of Eliana's journey. To all who have said a prayer for her, participated in fundraisers, or showed us support in any other way. THANK YOU. We are so blessed for all the love & support from the whole community.
