Obituary of Betty Hudosh

Please share a memory of Betty to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Betty passed away far too young on October 7th 2019 in Northridge, California.  Born Bertha Rodriguez in Mexico City or Acapulco (depending on who you ask) Betty emigrated as a young child to El Paso and then Los Angeles. She is predeceased by her Mother Sylvia and older Brothers Hector and Guillermo. Betty was very proud of becoming a citizen of the United States and had planned on traveling with her new passport. Everyone who came into contact with Betty was better off for knowing her. Betty had a warm inviting smile and a caring heart. She had worked as a Certified Nursing Aid and a Home Health Care worker. Her patients would often request that Betty be assigned to their care because they knew that they would receive her personal loving touch. There was no limit to her loving kindness. She was devoted to her friends and family. She was so proud of her three children, Stacy, Hex and Ethan.  She gave unconditional love to her children and was rewarded with the knowledge that they all had grown up to become young adults who treat others with kindness and respect and are going to change the world. Each would tell you that they were their Mother's favorite, and they would all be correct. Betty saved most of her hugs and kisses for her Granddaughter, Sophiya. The two were inseparable. Betty cared for Sophiya every chance she got. Sophiya called Betty, Mommy.

Betty left us too soon but her lasting legacy will be the love she left in all of us and the extraordinary lives her children and grandchild will lead. Besides, Stacy, Hex, Ethan, and Sophiya, survivors include her husband Pedro, her brother Juan Carlos, and the father of her children Alan.
