Obituary of James Howard White

James Howard White, 72, of Moorpark, Ca, passed away on June 15^th in his family’s home.

A celebration of his life will be held at the home of Sherry Kerdman on August 10, 2019 at 6pm. Please join us at 4650 Moorpark Road, Santa Rosa Valley, 93012.

Jim was born in Southern California to Harold and Mary White on October 11^th, 1946. He went to Granada Hills High School and graduated in 1965. As a teen, he enjoyed motorcycle racing with his brothers. He worked for the family boat shop in Simi Valley in the early 70’s, and he did prototype testing for the original Kawasaki Jet Ski. He was one of the first people to ever ride a Jet Ski across a lake in California. He worked as a sales representative for most of his life, and also ran a family business with his brother, Jon. In the late 80’s Jim started dancing and  learned west coast swing. He continued taking lessons and refined his dance abilities for the next 30 years. Jim enjoyed auto racing and car shows, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his sons and extended family, the Kerdman’s.

Jim is survived by his two sons, Steve and Mike White, and his two grandchildren, Drake and Marilyn White.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Cliff Housego for the wonderful slide show video and for organizing a dance event in Jim’s honor. The opportunity to see many of his close friends one last time before he passed was extraordinary and made him feel extremely blessed.
