Obituary of Diana Dy Cu

Please share a memory of Diana to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Diana Cu, a long time resident of Simi Valley, passed away after a long battle with pancreatic cancer on Saturday, August 5th, 2017. Diana was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, and daughter.

Born on May 6, 1954, Diana grew up in and around Manila, Philippines and graduated from college at Far Eastern University.  On February 14, 1976 she married Antonio Cu.  After the birth of their daughter, Abbie, the family immigrated to the United States.  They began in Chicago, Illinois and eventually settled in sunny Los Angeles.  In 1984, they brought their second child, Patrick, into the world and by 1989 they migrated to Simi Valley.

Diana worked for the United States Postal Service for 33 years and established many friendships with both coworkers and customers.  She loved flowers, almost everything in the color yellow, the family’s three bunnies, and taking photos to capture all of life’s special moments.  Along with her sister, Delia, she was able to travel and explore the sights.

Diana’s presence will be greatly missed.  She is survived by her husband and two children.

The viewing will take place on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 from 5pm-9pm at Rose Family Funeral Home.  Services will take place on Friday, August 11, 2017 at 11am at Rose Family Funeral Home with the burial following immediately at Assumption Cemetery and Mausoleum at 1pm.
